A low january-sun between the trees

My first "kill" of the day.

A rest in the sun...

A view over the lake Randsfjorden, and my home

A log frozen in ice. The ice looks almost like running water

A well used roe-deer trail. Look, but not touch... Bowhunting is not allowed in Norway.

Oops... we have a broken arrow. Where did my judo go?

Wait... there it is- under a spruce five feet away. Pure luck

Thank you for taking us along, is bow hunting not allowed because of lack of critters or just anti-hunting views? You live in a beautiful area!

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

My ancestors were from Norway.  My name is a translation Sunstone from Solstein.  Great looking country someday I'd like to visit.

Very pretty place and a fun time. You cant ask for more. It's a shame you can't hunt there.

Great photos and gorgeous country Trond. Stumping is an awesome way to spend a winter afternoon.

                                                        Good Shooting,

Thanks, guys.
The bow is a BearPaw Cayuga 66", marked 35# @28". Beautiful bow from Germany with a 30 year warranty.
The no-hunting in Norway is just related to politics. Someone said that a bow isn't good enough to kill game. So we have only old tree-stumps and 3D-targets to hunt.

Stumping is as good as hunting. Maybe better, I get more shots that way. Wonderful photos.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

I kind of agree with you, there. I used to hunt many years ago, but now my shotguns sits in the closet. These days I hunt stumps with my bow, and for animals I use my camera. A peaceful approach to life...

Great pics it's a lovely place. Sorry to hear your law makers suffer from brain damage hopefully one day they'll make a full recovery.

Nydelige bilder! Bare iskaldt regn her idag i New Hampshire, og stubbene fikk leve en stund til.

Am I the only one that agrees with eidsvolling?
