Anyone know the GPP on these shafts? I found some for sale and they should spine for my 57@30 longbow.

Thanks! I'm shooting GT 5575 trads now and those are 400 shafts. These spine well on Stus calc and they are near 400 spine. Any opinions? Want to try Aluminum.

Those are basically target shafts bro... they won't put up with any abuse at all on 3D or heaven forbid stumping.... I knew a few guys that called them line cutters that used them for competition....

Very thin wall aluminum.... you'd probably be happier with 2016's or 2018 for durability and they'll be a bit heavier too.

I used them on my wheels days,I don't see them on our bows so many better choices. Too fragile to me.

I have shot 2512's quite a bit and concur with what Kirk says...they would break if they even passed close past an obstruction it seemed

"2016"  20 = the diameter of the shaft & the "16" or "18" is the wall thickness of the shaft. I'm uncertain exactly what the spine rating on either one is, but they will definitely work on your bow.

I shoot 55#30" and have no problems tuning either one of them. and have shot both. the 2018 is about the toughest aluminum shaft i have used.

As many have said - those shafts will be very wimpy in terms of durability.  They are also large enough in diameter that they will push your point of impact to the left a bit (if you are right handed).  They are a LOT bigger in diameter than the carbons you're used to.  

Definately better options out there for this traditional game, including the aluminums mentioned.  You could also get a 2117 to work with the right point weight and length combination.  I shoot those out of one of my set ups that is 55# and they shoot really well and are super durable for an aluminum shaft.

Anything less than a '14' wall thickness in aluminm just wont hold up from hunting weight bows.............

X3 the 2117. If you want a smaller diameter shaft then 2018 or 2020. Personally I think 2020 is overlooked as a shaft for hunting. at hunting ranges they are hard hitters.

I have used 2117 for almost 20 years,they are always been dependable though arrows,if they are of your correct spine they are a winner.

Thanks for all of your input fellas. I may try out CE Heritage 250s instead.

Kirk, you think a CE Heritage 250 cut to 31" with 200 up front will work for my bow. Its the Toelke Super D cut to center 56@ my 30" draw.
