I've heard it said "arrows are just for shootin',
 no need for decoration, variety of color, stuff
 of colored up feathers or fur".

Then why is it God Blesses us with sunrise and sunsets in all their glory, making something in our hearts stir?

I guess we could live without such things and we'd be just okay;
But to have in your quiver and shoot such shafts adorned brings to the woods a similar beauty---so embrace it on this day!

Shape them, paint them, and glue feathers to the shafts of your choice;
I guess aluminum and carbon are better than none, but if you listen to my voice-

It just seems natural to choose quality arrow wood which had grown in the hills nearby;
There's something special about wood arrows and feathers and how they fly!

I dont even shoot wood but everything you said makes perfect sense. Certainly nothing more pleasing to look at than a quiver full of a well built set. You do great work and I will never be closed to the idea of shooting them. I have a bud that shoots wood and they are something to watch as they are launched at a target.

That's awesome!

I bet TG's resident poet, TW (Wannabe1), would be proud of you!

It would be better with pics of said beautiful wood arrows though!

You got that right, David.  I do shoot carbons, especially with a newly acquired bow when I am learning to shoot it.  But there is something about wood arrows that keep me coming back to them for my favorite bows.  When you get the right spine and the right color combinations they are tough to beat - and nothing looks better to my eye.

There is nothing like a quiver full of hand crafted wooden arrows to go with a beautiful custom wood bow.....   :thumbsup:

"So long as the new moon returns in heaven, a bent beautiful bow, 'shooting beautiful handcrafted wooden arrows' , long will the fascination of archery keep hold of the hearts of men."

My twist on Mr. Thompson's beautiful words. Nothing screams traditional archery like beautiful crowned and crested wooden arrows and natural barred turkey feathers.

Some fine looking arrows there!

At times I feel arrows are like ammo... Can't have enough, no matter what they are... Then I look at works of art, like you posted pics of above and say to myself, these arrows have a soul and need to be treasured and used with respect...

I agree I don't like shooting deer with ugly arrows...... :)
