I've been shooting Carbon Express Heritage 150s out of all my trad bows.  I'm currently shooting a GN Ghost Recurve that I draw 46@27, and a Robertson Vision Quest that I draw 52@27.  Both arrow shelves are cut just off center.  My arrows are 31" and I am shooting 200 grain points with 50 grain brass inserts for a total arrow weight of 600 grains.  This arrow set up is tuned for both bows.  I am wanting to try some lighter arrows, and want to stick with carbons. What are my options in staying spined properly in a 450-500 grain completed arrow?  I can give up 2" in arrow length with no big problems.

I would say the GT  35/55 may fit the bill. Ya could cut to 30"s and ya may get awy with 200 grains of point weight and that would get ya around 500 grains I believe, but not real familar with GTs.

A Beman MFX Classic 500 w/125 up front will be around 450gr.  I bet it will shoot for you.

What do the Bemans spine?

Shawn, I think you may be close.  I believe the 3555s are only 30" to start with.  I think they are about the same spine as my 150s.  If I kept all the same components I would save about 90 grains.  Close to where I want to be, but maybe a little stiffer?

I'll second the vote for Beman MFX Classic 500s. I shoot them 31" long with 125gr up to 200gr tips depending on which bow I am shooting.

Hard to beat those Heritage 150s though. They are my current arrow of choice for my ChekMate. Just about indestructable unless your are hunting rocks.
