What is the fewest strands of B50 I can use? I'll pad the loops but I triple serve because I don't like gloves or tabs. So I'm trying not to have a crazy thick serving area. Oh 54 lbs draw.

Hard to go skinny and stay safe with B50 in my opinion. It is a larger diameter material and the individual strand strength just isn't there.  14 strands for 50# bows is what it takes for me to feel comfortable.

I use 14 strands of B50 on bows from 50# to 60#.There is no advantage to go with less strands,it stretches enough and just not a strong material.The only bows I have B50 on are a couple of older vintage recurves.

Seems 12-14 has been the answers I've got around the forums. I made up a skinny string a few years back for it. Never clicked with me to count the strands lol.

If you try B55 you might be able to dropy 2 strands , it is slightly stronger and less stretch than B50 . Still safe for older bows that can't handle the modern high speed stuff .

I don't know what the least you can get away with is.  After trying them on lots of different bows, I'm just not a fan of "skinny" strings.  I can't make them do the things I've read about when comparing them to my regular strings.

I wouldn't use less than 12 strands of B-55 if it were my bow.

If you are willing to spend the time to learn how to braid the loops you should be able to build a 12 strand string that will not creep all that badly

I've built lots of strings just looked at the original string 10 strands. 2 seasons old, I do think with this one tho I'm going with 12 and padding to 16. Just because I feel like having something to do lol. And honestly I don't feel like B50 stretch an unbearable amount.

you must have pretty tough fingers to shoot without any finger protection, i have a b-50 endless loop on my kodiak hunter and after about 100 shots or so it stopped stretching and my brace height as stayed the same.i always use my bow stringer when i am done shooting for the day so maybe that helps?

I left mines strung thru hunting season. I just don't see the crazy stretch people talk about.

I usually use 14 strands for B-50 for bows over 45#. I do know others that use 12 strands and don't have problems.

I have in the past used 10 strands of B50 for 50lb for years and years with no negative results. Not a single failure.  This was using endless strings and served loops just enough to clear the limbs on recurves and center serving just enough for my tab to clear. It does makes a big difference. But lately I switched to higher performance string and go with less strands with a better preforming string. Now there will be tons of folks telling ya there is no difference blaw blaw etc but repeated tests by myself prove different. Your mileage may vary to appease those folks.
