Ordered a Wes Wallace Mentor today!  Must say very nice gentleman to talk with and very helpful.  Ordered Macassar ebony riser with bocote  stripe and limb veneers 62in 45@28.  Thought about myrtle but not sure how it would look.  Should be here in May just in time for my birthday!  I'm fired up!  Now the wait.

I am shooting a 64" mentor,45#@28 but draw 29.5" and it is buttery smooth. Coco riser with stained bamboo limbs. You won't be disappointed with Wes's work-he makes a great bow that is meant to be hunted. Good luck with yours.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

You will not regret your purchase. I have one of his longbows. I have shot his recurves as well. Smooth is a very good description. His customer service is a good as it gets.

I had a wes wallace mentor it was absolutely the best glass bow I ever shot. It was great until I had to sell it to fund my college.  I started building wood bows after that so it didn't hurt so much.  If I ever bought a glass bow again it would be a wallace.

I have two WW Mentors, both 64" AMO and 52-lb at 28". I draw just a tad past 30", and the both draw smooth as can be. My best shooters - broke my all-time field archery score the first time I took my first Mentor out. I actually have a third one on order now, this one will be 66" amo, 44-lb at 28", with a bubinga riser and red elm limbs - this will be my 'old man' bow or my
3D' bow (hey, I'm running out of excuses here!). These bows are awesome!

Here's my first one - Bolivian rosewood with a shedua accent stripe, yew limbs under clear. The shedua has darkened somewhat since this pic, but still a beautiful bow, and looks aside probably my best shooter I ever owned.

Next up is my second bow; I justified this as a 'back-up' bow, but let's face it, it's just an addition to my art collection. Zebra riser with purple heart accents and osage under glass. Ok, I admit it's a bit gaudy, but I love this bow, took a shot at a HUGE 4x4 muley this year with it (missed of course).

Maybe the guy who owns 'Bonita' will post a pic of his bow here...

I hope these pics post...why its this hard to post I dunno...anyway 64amo 51@28 I pull it back 31 super smooth and shoots a 625 grain arrow like a missle. Really like this bow.
