Yew Boo Osage

Ok, Say your planning a new Hill Bow.
And you want to use what I think is the trinity of bow woods, Yew, Boo, Osage.
In what order will the 3 go, I know Boo is the core, So, where dose the Yew and Osage go, As far as Back or Belly....?
I have thought of this for quite awhile, So now I'm asking my fellow Hill shooters....

I have a Hill Owl, the Osage is on the belly, but I don't know if that is the norm.

Boo back, yew core and osage belly. I know the colors don't line up just right but for structural integrity I think it would be your best combo.

kinda like what Pavan said..
boo on back, nice character yew on belly- nice and pretty, cos thats the side we look at all day.
and an osage riser- with maybe some yew accents.
keep the weight in the riser, and out of the limb tips.
in fact i would build the limbs out of boo entirely, save for a nice thin character yew veneer on the belly.
when are you planning to build this bow?

Isn't yew weaker in tension and better in compression? If so, I would prefer using it on the belly. Besides, I really like the looks of yew, making it a natural aesthetic choice for the belly. Put the strength of Osage on the back and the power piston boo in the middle.

The problem with yew as a belly is it is very soft. It can take the compression but if you bump it it will dent and that could cause a break. Osage is very strong in compression and it is very tough to boot. For durability sake it would be a better combo with the osage on the belly and the yew as a core...or make a boo baked osage and a boo backed yew. :D

are we talking glass backed? or straight all wood glue-up?

if glass backed, then it doesn't really matter structurally since the glass is really doing most of the work, just pref on the looks...I'd do boo core, yew back, and sage belly.

if you're talking all wood/boo glue-up, boo back, yew core, sage belly.
