Don't do what I did.  I got so busy with projects and a puppy that I missed a lot of last year's outdoors !

Congratulations. I had the same goal when I retired in 2004. Unfortunately, my hopes and dreams were difficult to attain. Hopefully you will have better luck than me. But I have not given up hope yet. Hope your dreams are fulfilled!

I tried it 19 years ago, but went back.  Now my wife says, "retirement= twice as much husband, half the income!  No way"
