Hi guys! I wanna know if I should pull the trigger on a good deal for a Shakespeare Wonderbow on ****.I don't know the model, just the make. Decently priced at 105.00 bucks. I've looked at these bows several times and for whatever reason have always passed on them. Who here has some knowledge and stories about these nice bows? I'd appreciate any info as usual:)

I have owned a Super Necedah, 2 Kaibab's and 2 Ocala's.  They were all good bows.  I think they were under rated in their day. The Shakespeares I have owned performed well.

The earlier ones were designed by Earnie Root and were fine bows. I had a '59 which was a hard shooter.

I had one once a 50# three piece fiberglas bow, good bowfishing rig.  Think I paid $129.00 new.

A friend had a Shakespeare Super Necedah, 45 or 50#, beautiful.  It was a good bow, I liked it.  Seemed fast for a 1960's bow with Dacron string. Well made bow, shot sweet.

I currently shoot a Necedah x26 #45 I picked up for pocket change at an antique mall.  This bow shoots as good as any I own.  For me, it fits my hand perfectly.

I have a 60" 45# @ 28" Yukon. Got my first bow killed deer with it back in the early 70's.

The Yukon must have been their basic model. I string it up every now and then, but I haven't shot it since who knows when. Guess I'm afraid I may break it.

I've tried both the Super Necadah and Kaibab and have to agree with the other posters. They are really sweet shooting bows and way under-priced compared to Bears.

That would be one of the higher prices I've seen, so I would want it to be in very good shape.

I don't think you will be disappointed in the bow's performance.

If it is in good shootable condition, don't let it get away. I have several models, and every one shoots well. They tend to have large hand filling grips , as compared to the Bears.

Shot my first Trad deer with this one. Yep they do have larger handles, and this one had very wide limbs. But it blew right through the deer I shot with no problem. I wouldnt be afraid to buy one of these at all. Model X-29 with the phenolic riser.

I haven't searched around the site yet, but I found this interesting because this is what I have, sort of. I was looking for the starting brace height, and the spec is right there.

Interesting to note that it shows a thumb rest on this '69 model, where mine doesn't have one. I guess mine is older?

I have had two Super Necedahs' and both made fantastic shooters.  I regret that I sold one!

Both model X-30 54" bows.  As far as draw length goes, on the scale they both would go to 30" with no sign of stacking.

I have a Super Necedah x-30 45# @ 28 and 54" amo. It is a very sweet shooting bow. Very smooth and holds like a much longer bow.

My brotherinlaw has one and it is awesome . Very fast shooter

I have a half dozen Super Necedahs and have had a few other models also.  I've never seen a Shakespeare that wasn't a good shooter.  I fully agree with the comment above that they were/are seriously under rated.  I also agree with Monetrey regarding stack.  I draw 30 1/2" on the 54" Super Necedah and there is absolutely no stack.  It doesn't even feel like the 50# or so that I'm pulling.  I have one that my wife bought for me new in 1971.  I call it Sweetness because of how it shoots and I still shoot it 3 or 4 times a week.  I have the others for the sad day when I have to go down in draw weight or Sweetness finally gives up!
