Deliberately not hunted a spot because you knew there was a buck there? I went and pulled the camera card at one of the places I hog hunt and saw this guy. My wife saw this deer earlier in the year and she has Dibbs on him! Plus he is young and even though I've only killed a spike with trad gear up to this point I am having to make myself not hunt this spot for fear of him stepping out and standing broadside in front of me! I want to hold out and let him grow another year or two. Don't know that he'll make it tho. The ranch hand hunts the property as well. I'm a freakin wreck. Hope he either makes it or at least my wife gets a shot at him!

Is it worth a cold bed for a month or so?

Haha cold bed can be fixed with cold beer! Anywho he's a stud now or next your. That decision is yours to make!
I'd rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6

What an awesome deer. I hope he makes it or you wife gets him. At least he hangs at your place if your wife gets him. Good luck either way.

I passed a 2.5 year old buck that was just a bit over 120" at 6 yards. He was a pretty good buck for our area but he was young. I avoided that area the rest of the season because I didn't know if I could pass again. I'm pretty sure it's the deer my father took this year at 4.5. He scored 150" and its my dads first buck over 75" or so. I'm do glad I passed.
