I just used up the last of a few hundred feathers that I bought off of **** (no brand name, just came in ziploc baggies), and I've had great luck with them, but I need to buy some more and I don't know what kind they are  :banghead:  So, what kind of feathers do you guys like? I used tru flite once before, and the dye seemed to run real bad the first time I hunted in a little rainstorm. What does everybody use and why?
I've done so much with so little for so long that now I can do anything with nothing in no time at all...

I have had good luck with tru flight as well as gateway. Only problem with gateway feathers is the quill is a little thick some times. What did the feathers from the authion site look like?

I use natural white feathers from Raven Arrows. I have had very good luck with them. They really hold up well. Probably because they haven't been bleached or dyed. So they still retain the natural oils in the feather.

Trueflight over Gateway anyday for me. I do prefer natural turkey or goose feathers over above.

No doubt about it, I have gone without feathers when the only ones available were Gateway.  TrueFlight are premium.

I'm confused, tell me how you really feel  :biglaugh:

Most people couldn't tell the difference between the TF and Gateways if they didn't know where they came from.  I have used both for lots of years and can't tell any difference.  I buy the ones I can get the best deal on.  Put em' on a shaft and go shoot.

Don't mean to high jack this thread, but... Which TG sponser has the best deal on feathers?  I just won vermoster's fletching jig give-away and now I need some feathers!

As a dealer for AMG feathers...I rate them equal to Trueflight but cheaper. I have plenty of TG customers who are very happy with AMG.

I've seen ads for AMG, but I've never had any experience with them. Do you sell a 36 count package so I could fletch up a dozen and see how I like them?

I've used the AMG's and I agree with Joe, they are nice feathers. Can't go wrong there. I got mine off the auction site, but when my supply gets low again I'll be getting them from Joe as he's a sponser here.

I've used both. Truflight a bit more precise.  Gateway a bit more durable.  Glad we have them.  Competition is what keeps prices down.  I'll use whatever is cheapest.  No difference in arrow flight at 17.3 yards

Dennis at  http://git-r-donearchery.com/  has very good prices on Gateway feathers, and a good assortment in stock.
