Well I finally ripped a hole in my old LaCrosse rubber boots.  In looking at the new ones I see Irish Setter is making one now too and the Exoflex feature looks interesting while the AlpaBurly has a new more pliable rubber.  Has anyone tried the new ones of either manufacturer?  I would love to hear your thoughts.

Hey Dave. Irish setter makes a good product.  I have a pair of their light weight boots and they are tops. I have muck for rubber and have lasted a long time and are easy to get on and off.   Bill

Dave,

I bought two new pairs of AlphaBurley boots this year. Both have the side zippers which are great for tucking in pant legs neatly. I bought the 1000G for Alaska and the uninsulated for around here. All I can tell you is my feet like them and they feel great walking about. I put a lot of miles on the 1000G model hunting moose and bou in September. No breakdowns, leaks or issues. The side zip and gusset worked great and they are waterproof all the way to the very top.

I bought Lacrosse Mudlite snake boots recently. So far I'm pleased, they're pretty comfortable for rubber boots.
Snakes can be out down here all year round so I bought the snake boots, haven't tried them in cold weather yet though. Doesn't get cold here very often but it's a damp cold, I'm hoping the Mudlites will be warm enough when it does get cold.

What DaveT said......LaCrosse Aeroheads, a really solid rubbe boot. They will suprise you with their weight, they look like they will be very heavy but are surprisingly light. I have been a LaCrosse rubber boot wearer for a long, long time. These are the best I have seen from them.

Dave,
I have 2 pair of Irish Setters.
One uninsulated and one 1200 gram insulated.

Fit is superb and accurate to size.  These are the most comfortable rubber boots I've ever owned...hands down and bar none.

Far as rubber boots go, Irish Setter is a superb choice.

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

Looks like I can't go wrong either way.  Thanks.
