I currently shoot a Wes Wallace Royal. I am looking to add to my collection and wondered if ya'll could give me some names of longbow bowyers that make a very good quality bow???

I like Dan Toelke's whip longbow.  I also really liked the ACS, and hear lots of great things about Turkey Creek...Mike

I love my Northern Mist Baraga.  Just my opinion though.  I say get one of all of them, that's my goal anyways once the kids move out.  

Kinda depends on what you are looking for as a bow, but Dick Robertson has been at it since the late 70's and is still making great longbows.  He's made thousands of 'em and you don't see many for sale.  Somebody must be happy with them.

Well let's see:  Schafer, Robertson, Tolke, Bear Paw, Black Mountain, and Howard Hill.  Wait a second, these are only some of the good ones made in Montana (I might be a little prejudiced) and I know the Black Widow shoots really nice.

I have 2 ACS-CX longbows and 1 Turkey Creek.  I will have a second Turkey Creek soooooon!  The ACS-CX and Turkey Creek are outstanding IMO.

There are literly too many to list....Pick one you like the looks of and go with it....
   If your going to start collecting Longbows you definetly need a Hill bow in the collection....

I've had the Horne three piece longbow, Renegade, Toelke whip, Bob Lee, many Martin bows, T/C - to name a few.  To me the only keepers out of all the bows I;ve had are the Lee, Whip and T/C.  

I think the Creek is a great little bow, so light in the hand, well made and just shoots so sweet.  The Whip has the most outstanding craftsmansip of any of the bows I have had, with an awesome grip - Dan does an outstanding job, and he is a delight to deal with.

My only disappointment with the Whip is that I ordered it with the bow/bolt.  I wish I hadn't because I just don't have confidence in that system for our very rugged Australian conditions. It is way too fragile and just waiting for a big gutser to bust open.

If I had to take one bow into the mountains and scrub where I hunt - for a week - it would not be the Whip.  I would go for rock solid and one that could be used as a club, would perform day in and day out - that would have to be the Lee.

I hope that helps - they are all great bows but so different.  It would be hard for even me to choose one.

However I think if I did and for value for money it would have to be the Creek.
