Congratulations Patrick!    Sweeeeet! Good for you buddy. Nice buck. That infection sounds like it could make for some painful shooting though,... ouch!

I was lucky enough to get out in the woods today, and went to the same spot that I shot my buck.  Today I passed on this buck.  It was the buck that I was going to take out of the gene pool before my buck came in.  I got a much better look at him today.  Nice mass, but not the best rack for symmetry.  The only reason I let him go today was because he looked like he was probably a 2 1/2 year old based on body type, and kinda pointy looking snout.  I have meat in the freezer, and kinda curious how much mass this boy can put on, even with a funky looking rack.  Hopefully he doesn't stray too far off the property and get himself shot.
