Congrats on the mama those smart does are good ones to take out because they can screw the show up when the big boy shoes up!

Nice one.  I have had several over the years, pretty sure they were kin.  I used to hunt a particular tiny tree lot in the marsh.  It was like a funnel.  That old girl and her grown fawn would split up (i'd watch them do it), one down wind, one sneaking thru the thickest stuff, and come look for me.  They ALWAYS found me.

When I saw them coming I knew the game was up for that evening.  I saw and killed a lot of deer in that woodlot over the years, but never HER though.

Congrats Mike, I had a big doe like that last year that cost me a couple shots at bucks.  I had to take her out of the gene pool also.

Congratulations Mikey!  Great story, it sure is tough to outsmart those mother hen does!

thanks guys --she did have the skills to live a few seasons in an area with  the toughest gun hunting pressure I've ever witnessed
and pure luck for me-witnessing her weakness-and her doing the same thing 2 days in a row!

Nice job. I was just telling some "how I was busted by this annoying doe" stories to a co-worker today who was asking me about deer hunting. I had an older doe on a former hunting lease that was my arch-nemesis; she led a decent sized group of does and yearlings around the property and for two years she busted me numerous times.

If I had taken that doe I'd have been happier than if I'd taken the biggest buck in the county, and despite having missed some opportunities over the years on some monster bucks, I -still- rank not getting to shoot her as one of my greatest regrets, LOL.
