As most of you know by now, the Bear Referendum was rejected by the voters of Maine on November 4th .  It looks like we will be having a 2015 Black Widow Bear Camp at Squapan Mountain Outfitters in Mapleton, Maine.  If you've never hunted bear in the north woods of Maine then you don't know what you are missing out on.  We've had some very exciting hunts over the years and 2015 will be no exception.  Whether you shoot a Black Widow or not, make plans to join us next fall with your favorite trad bow and maybe you just might leave with a new Black Widow Bow!  This year our good buddy Jim Calamaris took the biggest bear weighing in at 260 pounds and walked away with a new Black Widow Longbow.  We will be giving a new bow away again in 2015 and you could be the lucky one!
Besides some great bear hunting, it's a blast sitting around the campfire at night telling our stories of the evening hunt and then visiting and shooting our bows throughout the day.

I know a few guys who have been on this hunt and they have had a great time and killed some very good bears.

Guys, I've hunted with the Widow Boys a bunch of times at Squapan, and I was lucky enough to Win me a Widow in '12. I've had some great times. I had to sit out this past and I'm sorry that I missed it!!  Jump at this chance!!!  Tony and Lynn run a top notch outfit. I'm not speaking for Toby or Roger, but there's a good chance they'll bring a bunch of Widows to play with!!

ALSO....it's pretty darn generous of John, Toby, and Roger to put up a new Widow!!!

The hunt will start the 31st of August which is a Monday and run through Sat.
