No,
Its not a picnic like I said I have never brought coffe to the stand hot coco when I bring my daughter with to keep her occupied and happy. I use to walk back to the truck for coffee and lunch but I will never kill anything at the truck. And when it get real cold long hunts on stand are not realistic.
Usually just water and a couple of granola bars. But on all day sits I will bring a couple of peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Sitting all day in 20 degree weather  add a little wind and the body will require calories  and water to maintain warmth focus and performance. Maybe hot water with honey and lemon would be a better choice but I have no honey or lemon right now. And coffe is easy to make.   :D

I think if they can smell the coffee they have already smelled you. Good friend smokes like a smoke stack in the stand. I have sat a stand in a bottom where I could look down the bottom and see him and just smoke rolling off the set. He is a deer slayer with the bow, fills his tags every yr and no gun.

I take coffee every single time.

Not coffee but Swiss Miss hot chocolate. Can't beat it. But I do usually take a pee bottle.

Coffee is the lifeblood of champions! Bring it
I'd rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6

I normally take coffee when it is cold whether I am hunting from the ground or a stand.

When hunting from a stand I pee off the side. When hunting from the ground I clear an area down wind to pee a few feet from the spot I cleared to sit. I don't what to make any noise.

I have never had deer get spooked by either.

And if Murphy has a chance, you know he'll take it....   :coffee:    :biglaugh:

Coffee will actually constrict your blood vessels and make the hands and feet colder.  Ironically, cold beet juice is the best thing in your system to increase blood flow.  This is fact.  LF

I take coffee with me sometimes. The biggest issue I have with coffee is when the rent is up and a deposit is due.

In Jersey the deer come in for the coffee ! , and sandwiches, especially peanut butter & jelly. Some like coffee and some like tea, so I carry both. I place them on the ground at between 12-20 yards, but what really works the best is a good maduro cigar, they seem to really like the hand rolled cigars.

Also urin is urin, it shouldn't spook them at all.

P.S. Leftyfred seems to have it down pat !

This thread reminds me of one a couple of years ago about coffee.  One guy posted about roasting his own and buying beans from Sweet Marias coffee co. in California.  I decided to try it and have been having the best coffee I ever had as a result.  Fresh home roasted and ground beats the mass market stuff they sell at the super market hands down.  One of the best tips I ever got on here! I buy beans at $6-7 a pound. On hunting trips, my buddies insist that I bring the coffee! Got the little roaster from Sweet Marias.  Try it and you won't go back to Folgers!     :coffee:

Wish I'd had some with me yesterday morning.  It was kinda chilly in the tree.

I'm drinking from a saucer, cause my cup has overflowed.

If I'm going to sit for a long time in 20 degree weather a nice cup of hot coffee does wonders.

Mr. fingers

Sat this's morning 6 degrees with a NW wind 15 mph with 25 mph gusts. The kind of cold that just stings. The coffee helped a little. But it was the kinda weather that sucks the fun out of a hunt.
