Has anyone had any luck removing Duco from a bow without damaging the finish?

JamesV

Duco is a hot formula and burns into the finish. Probably not going to be able to remove without some touch-up to the finish.

I've made a few repairs to a bow's finish over the years, and provided that we're only talking about minor scratches and blemishes, it just takes a little light sanding and a few coats of the right finish.  Provided you use a compatible finish, as recommended by the bowyer, if possible, it should look exactly the same as the rest of the bow when you're done.

I told you this morning I had a wood rasp in the shop....surprised you didn't come back?  We could have taken it right off with a few swipes!    :dunno:

Why someone would use duco to put a rest on is beyond me     :deadhorse:

Tim's so helpful, me I would add a big glob of super glue and just go shoot.
