Yep, David, I thought that'd give you blokes a laugh! Thongs here are what you mob call "flop-flips", I think. There's a reversal of this concept with the word "fanny". You blokes use that word pretty regularly, as in fanny pack. We would never say that, and start giggling when we hear it. What you mob call a fanny pack we call a bum bag.
