I've been thinking about this over the last week and figured out how much I love and depend on one of my favorite accessories.

A few weeks ago I had another added in with this one but as the mosquitoes become less an issue the "Thermacell" has dropped down on the list of "must-haves" but even when it was important there was another that always at the top and it does a great job for me.

Tell us yours........

I'll pop back in a little later and disclose what I feel in my Number "1" accessory....lol

God bless,Mudd

depends on the day Mudd.  On one day I really need the Thermocell.  On another I may REALLY need the TP (and I don't mean target panic)>

TP is a good one.  I have come of the woods minus a shirt sleeve more times than I care to admit.  I would say my knife.  I forgot it one hunt this past weekend and was amazed how many times I reached to my hip to find it not there.

Permethrin based spray for ticks followed closely by cough drops. Non DEET mosquito spray is third on the list.

A flashlight, or a knife, but that's pretty obvious, so I'll say my fold out limb saw and/or my mini limb pruner/shears.  I have a Thermacell that has never left the box after owning it for 2 years, and a GPS unit that has remained boxed for about four years.  They seemed like such good ideas at the time, though.

Accessories, traditional Bowhunting, is supposed to be about keeping it simple, accessories minimal, but since you asked, and being a guy that likes to build as much of my stuff as I can, I'd have to the new quiver I'm using this year, the Short Trail...
Thanks,
Tim

I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!

#1 would have to be a knife.  But #2 . . . possibly #1 if I thought longer . . . is a resealable 15 count travel size pack of moist wipes.

Southwest Louisiana I have to go with Thermacell.

I have a strand out of the inside of para cord tied to my top string loop. It's about 8" long, and I took my fingers and rubbed it until it frayed out. I ground hunt with bow accross my lap, with a quick glance I know the wind direction, no more moving or reaching for my puff bottle

A hankercheif is something I always use. A lot of the other stuff mentioned is pretty standard stuff
The one thing I bought this year that I'm using a lot more than I imagined is a hydration bladder pack. It's so nice when I'm walking to my stand and my mouth gets a little dry I just grab the tube and take a sip. When I'm on stand I just reach down by my hip pull up the hose and take a sip.
I use to carry a water bottle but it was not as accessible and made more noise and movement grab it open it and get a drink.

Water and binocs are indispensable to me; but water isn't really an accessory-is it?

For me it's my Waldrop Pac-Seat.......I can stay much longer when I use it. Staying longer doesn't get me any more deer sightings but the naps are much better.

My 8 power Swarovski binoculars, I wouldn't go in the woods without them.

I'll agree that water is up there for me.

Other than that, despite many are not a fan of them, I have to admit I love my puff bottle for wind.

It's never gotten me in trouble and I really enjoy being able to keep tabs on exactly what my scent is doing.

I don't do too much to keep myself scentblocked, but I watch the wind and thermals like a hawk (although I must admit once I'm in a stand I can't do much but leave the area if wind switched.)
