I love the old wood/aluminum erra large nocks. Nirk nocks are my favorite. I was just looking at the aluminum tapered nock adapters.

I kinda love the idea of having nirk nocks on my carbons. Sooo much easier to blind nock.

Any of you fellas do this?

I have done this on damaged carbons. if a carbon has a crack on the nock end I will remove the nock and sand down a 1/4" wood dowel to fit the shaft, glue in a small piece, then use my tapering tool to re-taper the end and install a glue-on nock. Then I glue a 1/4" piece of aluminium shaft (of the right size) against the nock.

i just started using the nock adapters for my carbon arrows this spring.
and I really like being able to feel the larger locate tabs on the nocks, and also I can get a real yellow nock and not a chartruese yellow nock.  and the weight of the adapter isn't enough to make a change in the arrow.
 so...yep I do...and I likem.

Yes. I use the glue-in/glue-on nock adapters and Bohning classic nocks. It is a bit of extra work making up arrows but I believe I end up with a better arrow. And I really like the larger index fin on the Bohning nocks. I also use the glue-in/glue-on point adapters and then use glue-on broadheads and field points. I end up with a sturdy custom carbon arrow that I trust completely.

I think im going to, i have to sand the nocks of my GTs to fit my string. Your post got me to thinking about it, and i have several hundred glue on  nocks. I think im going to try it out

Been using the glue in adapters for years, better feel for me with alot more choices plus they don't pop out when you hit something solid
