The Ole' Bowhunter

I've always carried at least on blunt-tipped arrow in my bow quiver while bowhunting. The reason being that oftentimes before I climb down from my treestand after legal shooting light, I like to pick something out on the ground like a leaf or tuft of grass then shoot at it.  My hope is to nail it on that one shot. I'll also take a shot at a rotten stump or log while making my way to my ground blind just to make sure my shoouting form and range estimation is on. Quite often we bowhunters get so involved in the hunt we all too often forget to practice. Of course when I take my shots I take a good look around to make sure I won't spook game. Just wondering if other bowhunters do the same.

I do, usually a couple. Practice shots and in case I want to take a shot at a bushytail.

Similar to rraming, I always have 3 broad heads and one judo point for stumping along the way if the mood strikes me.

Yep, but I don't recommend that you shoot at a frozen hedgeball with one...

I take either a blunt or a judo, lately I have just been taking a couple dull/pretty used up Woodsmans.  I actually thought about filing the point down real flat on em to come up with a new kinda head.

How do you carry the blunts or Judos in your quiver.  I have lost a few arrows because the blunts are always sorter than the broadheads.

I always carry a judo point with me for stump shooting on the way in or a pesky squirrel during my hunt. I turn my judo point arrow upside down in my quiver and push the nock point up into the foam.

longrifle

Yes Sir, always have a Judo so I can take that one shot before I leave.
