Split for me also.  The way I learned as a kid.  On a Hill style longbow, I shoot one nocking point locator under the nock.  On a recurve, I use two nock point locators, one above and one below.  I shoot an arrow rest on a recurve and off the shelf on longbows.  I only use tie on nocking point locators out of #4 serving and lots of wax.    

I've shot 3U for the last 23 years. Been good on all facets from targets to stationary and moving game to include flying.......but I have fought left flyers for a long time and my releaese and form are way better split so I am trying to get the elevation down split.

It's going well and I'm gonna stick with it this time and just engrain it

I shoot split for the same reason as most others here, because that's how I was taught. It has worked great fot me, arrow under the nock and I anchor with my middle finger in the corner of my mouth.

I was taught that way but I did try split for a while. It was OK..pretty accurate for shorter distances. Never did shoot nock under though..never saw a reason to. I went back to split because it just feels better

I shoot split, arrow under knock point. I shoot a maddog hill style longbow as my #1 my back up bow is a bear super kodiak. I shoot it the same way. I tried 3under but could not aim the same. I just look at what I want to hit , draw , an shoot. Kinda like throwing a baseball. 3under had me way off.

I shoot split as well for the reasons already mentioned.  Mostly, just more control over the arrow.  I've shot nocking the arrow above the nock point, like Hill did.  Works fine, but the arrow can slip on the string.  Can do that if one nocks under the nock as well using only one nocking point.  That's why I use two.  I spend a lot of time on stand, and if the arrow were nocked above the nocking point, it would be falling off the bow a lot.  If it's nocked below the nocking point, or with a nocking point above and below it, it's held in place by the extra weight of the shaft that protrudes beyond the back of the bow.

Split finger or split vision?  Oh.

I shoot split finger. It is what I was taught 40 years ago.  I tried three under and it feels so completely foreign and wrong that I went back to the "right" way to shoot, split finger.

Arrow under the nock. When I got back into shooting a bow as an adult, that's what I was taught was "right".

Love split.  Tried 3under for a bit early on but just don't like it as much.  With split I feel more in control of the bow and arrow and it also yields me better accuracy with my method of aiming.  It just feels right.  I usually use on nock point above the nock or two nock points.

Split just because that's how I did it back when I was a teen. But I still have 1 above and one below.

Split, for the same reasons already mentioned, just how I learned and what feels right. Tried 3 Under, didn't care for it. Nock point above and below, just cause.

The other reason I shoot split finger is because Bisch does!

As far as my nock locator, I have for years done tied on above & below.

I shoot split, it gives me the option of a reverse cant if needed.  Versatility.

I shoot split, usually with a brass nock above the arrow, though I like to let the string stretch through a couple of sessions before I install it.  I don't paper tune.  I've shot split since I was 9 and someone showed it to me as an alternative to pinching the string between my thumb and index finger.  I tried three under once in my teens but did not like the feeling (perceived less control, and mismatch with the bow's tiller.)

3 under. Tried split but WAY too much pinch. Feels like the arrow moves around on the string and shelf when released. I shoot a 62". Below the nock point. I've always wondered why people say 3 under is for target shooters??? I'm new to the game, but don't see why one would be for target shooting and one type for hunting? If it works, it works!

I shoot split because that's how I was taught when I started , I use two nocking points of dental floss ( from my target shooting days ) I try 3under now & then just to prove to my friend I can't get on with it ( he's deadly that way ) but I'll stick with split .
