Hey Brad,

I didn't mean to be hard on ya, was more poking fun at Charlie.

His book is done, he is a wealth of huntin knowledge, builds a few Sunbear bows, and is a wordsmith and storyteller unequalled.

Stay sharp, Kenny.

Hey Redshaft,

No buddy is being hard on ya bud.
Just playin..       :)

In fact I think a bit of playful nature comes out of many people just by the mentioning of his name.

He has written and published a book.
Not sure if any more are available...or where to get them.

I believe it is called "A Bowhunter's Tales"...I may be wrong..I own a copy just can't remember the title.

You can search the members for Charlie Lamb and look up his posts to get a little better feel for what he is about.

This is great place to learn.

Believe me it's okay. I have thick skin. I will look up some of his stories.

I actually enjoy getting ripped on. Don't bother me a bit. Where I work you have to leave your feelings at the door everyday. I loved the picture of the girl. I have seen that one before. I don't miss many pics like that on the Internet lol.

I too meant no offense! Charlie has had some great in put on some of my earlier posts. I would love to own one of his Sunbear bows in a 45# range!   :D

He's a friend.

I am pretty sure Charlie has forgotten more about traditional bowhunting than I'll ever know.

If they come any better than Charlie, then I want to meet them as well.

Here's his book!

Charlie is a very acomplished bowyer and his bows are called Sunbears, His recurves are awesome bows and a work of art so are his longbows they are a pleasure to shoot. Charlie built this all natural Hill style bow that I'm shooting.

Charlie told me he grew up as a kid living close to Earl Hoyt  and used to ride his bike down to Earl's shop. Charlie has some great story's that I never get tired of hearing.

My post might come off as a little rude and that is not my intention but how are you a member here since 2004 and not know that Charlie Lamb is a dedicated ambassador for traditional archery? You obviously haven't read much since your membership here. He has killed truck loads of animals with his bow and arrows but that has nothing to do with his stature as traditional bow hunting spokesmen and icon.

I can't help but think this thread has spawned to maybe try and cut him down a little. I do not agree that he is a legend as he himself would never admit to being one. He is just a man who has bled for this country and likes to hunt with his bow and arrow. The fact the guy can tell a story as good as anybody and better than most is a tallent handed to him from the heavens.

It doesn't take much of reading past traditional hunting stories on tradgang to know who he is and what he is about and I don't believe you couldn't at least stumble upon this info.

I think any serious inquiry would call for use of the search mode and there's at least an hour or so of reading as the result of such a search.

To be a great bowhunter and contributor to the sport does that man have to have taken the big five or a sheep slam or a turley slam.

At my age (which is close to Charlie) I think not.....

You know that scene in all the cowboy movies where the punchers are idling around the chuck wagon waiting for the top hand to show up to get things started?  That's the tradgang campfire waiting for Charlie to show up and spin a yarn,

Personable, respectful, and humble are the qualities I like most about Mr Lamb. As well known as he is among members of the trad archery world, he will gladly converse with anyone. He obviously doesn't feel he is above anyone, and treats everyone as an equal. I believe that is as it should be, and I commend him for it. I have tried to talk to a few other big names on this site with little or no response. Do they think I'm not worthy? Do I not deserve respect? Mr Lamb always replies! Thank you Charlie.   :)
