I have been a member of this site since around 04.  Prior lurker. I'm here allot. I keep hearing about Charlie Lamb the member.  I had made a post last years some time asking who he is and what he has done. I didn't get any response.
So could someone please tell me who he is? What he has done for traditional archery or archery in general, that he is always is high praise?
I understand some of the big name on here n who they are. But for the life of me don't know mr Lamb, is he a trad gang hero or has he done something great or invented something to do with it? Please enlighten me so I can understand where guys are comming from when speaking of him and being a legend as I have never heard of him outside this we site. Please know this is no disrespect. Thanks

I think you can say "Charlie's been there and done that", and he got to do some of that with folks that many of us would have loved to have met.

If you have been on this site since 2004, then you should know who he is. He has posted some great tales on here of his exploits, writer, archer, storyteller and hunter extaorninair. He has written a book about his life as a bowhunter and it is a great read.

Like Danny said and I posted on your last thread when you asked the same thing but I guess you missed that too. I will see if I can find it for you.

All I know is he can talk about hunting with Fred Bear.
That got my attention.

On this site, asking who Charlie Lamb is, is like asking Where's Waldo in a room all by himself!   :biglaugh:

Anyone know where I can get a copy of his book? I love his writing.

ok..sorry.
I guess my attempt at humor wasn't taken the way I intended.
I meant no offense.
I apologize.

Now that was funny!!

All I know is what I've read here. He has a way of telling his tales that really bring you in. Accounts from others all agree he is the epitome of the trad archer snd the mentality that goes with it. Ethical, clean, respectful, well spoken. A good one for the crowd

I believe you've said it well Brian.

I understand who he is in a crowd. Other than being a story teller and great person. He hunted over the world for big game with traditional gear, record holder? Like taken big 5? Sheep slams? all North American big game with trad gear?
Personal friends with Fred Bear, very cool.
You see some of you may come off hard on me. This is definitely not where I want this to go. If we are sharing this time together with him it would be nice to learn who Charlie is and for other that may not know either. I don't follow his post like so of you all may. I'm more here to learn tips and see what guys are killing with there trad bows and tactics to put more animals on the ground. I Apologize for my ignorance on the matter.

Also, so he wrote his book but it is not finished and there will be more to come correct?
