Don't know that I have any pictures left, but I had a lot of them go through my shop at one time.

One of my favorite woods, but it's very unpredictable.  Color and grain can vary a ton--you wouldn't think it's the same wood.

D. Key

Very dense and heavy wood.  Had one a while back and wish I still had it.

Not the best Pic of the bow but you might be able to zoom.

Chechen flare in this Silvertip that I had built a few years ago.

Chechen Cari-bow Tuktu EX.  Chechen has a lot of colors in it when you study it closely.

Lonetree Ocelot Longbow

This piece of Chechen is iridescent showing yellows, reds, browns and darker tones in bright light. Arching lams are Osage. Maple limb lams.

Its a wood that looks decent from a distant and awesome up close. And like I said, outdoors or under sunlight its amazing.

Yeah a real nice piece has an almost opalescent quality.

Besides these examples of reddish-brown, it can run from very dark to grey to yellowish.  Sometimes the figure and color variation is amazing.

Those Widow limbs are gorgeous.

I have a Chechen TallTines riser but I'm to dumb to post pics.   I'll email a pic to someone if they want to post it.
