Isn't a mongoose a good creature to keep alive? I mean, with snakes and all.

NorthShoreLB

No, ....extremely destructive to endemic hawaiian, and introduced ground birds,.....plus we don't have snakes, I wish we did !

I didn't mean for it to seem obnoxious----just curious is all. If thats the case awesome---kinda like we are with domestic wild cats here. they are murder on pheasants.

Jbiorn.  not certain if it is true, but I read that they introduced mongeeses to take care of the rats which were not native but came with the big ocean going boats.  The rats are very destructive.  Good idea...except rats are nocturnaly active (night) and mongeeses are diurnaly active (day).  and...mongeeses are pretty good hunters themselves.   Ooops

Snakes do a pretty good number on rats...  ;)

You can buy all the bodkin broadhead "seconds" you want for $.75 each. Excellent small game head. I see where one of the suppliers is offering snuffer seconds also, for about a buck each.
Is it too late to be what I could have been?

Brian P.

John,

Where are you buying these "seconds" from?

Direct from Larry Whiffen, the manufacturer.

Alright heres my idea. Take a rag and wrap it around your arrow head. Dip it in some lighter fluid and light it on fire. Not only will you kill your game youll cook it too! Im so smart
