Just purchased these heads, but they haven't arrived yet. I wanted a 200 grain head, so at 205 the Safari's fit the bill. For those who've shot them, do you like them? Any wind planing problems?

I have shot the Safari's and Treesharks a bunch. I haven't had any planning issues. They both shoot equally well through my setups.

I mostly use the Treesharks for deer but will probably switch to Safari's later in season in preparation for next years elk.

I have the 165's, they fly like field points, no planing issue whatsoever.  I think you will like them!

I have the treesharks and my  only hesitation is planning. I know the head is solid, but when I shoot them compared to my Magnus Classic the don't fly as well. If I make a bad shot fine but I want it to be a bad shot not the arrow flight. it has messed with my head shooting them side by side, but the treesharks out of my bows require a perfect release which I don't have. I am sure it is not the head though, and it is probably my arrow set up.

I have shot them but never hunted with them. They fly excellent and are completely silent.

A good buddy of mine swears by them and gets them razor sharp.

They shoot very well for me, figured out how to sharpen them, but haven't shot anything with them yet.

I have bought both the Safari and the Tree Shark,but on wild boar I am been so pleased with the bigger ones that I ani't tryed the Safari yet,I guess they are both fantastic heads.

Never tried the Safaris but have used the solid interceptor version for years. Never had a planing problem and the non vented version didn't whistle as bad as the land sharks I started with in the mid 90s. I never used the bleeders though either. They were always easy to tune and sharpened really well. Blood trails were excellent! Always short recovery. I'll be shooting them again this year as well as some new Brown Bears from Abowyer I will be trying for the first time.

Thanks for your insights. I'm excited to get them and to see how they shoot. Those Safari's are huge and it's good to hear there are no planing issues. Currently, I'm shooting two blade 150 gr. Magus on top of XX78, 2216 arrows. With these Safari's heads, this set-up should really be thumpers!

I used them in Feb. 2014 on a Texas hog hunt. This was my first time using them. They fly really good for me. I killed two hogs with them. Had good blood trails and will continue to use them for sure.

This will be my first year hunting with them.They fly best for me mounted in the vertical position. They fly just like my field points.

They fly great if tuned. I have shot both the safari and the treeshark and was really suprisied at how well they do fly.  I went with the the treeshark while chasing pigs in the late winter and wasn't disappointed with the results. They are as advertised. I'm confident that I'll always have at least one in my quiver from now own. Awesome heads!

Dennis, I picked up some 125 grain landsharks a few months back and am planning on shooting them with my longbow this year.  They fly great for me, in spite of the fact that I think my arrows are a hair on the weak side.

Hopefully I'll have some blood trail comments later in the year...!

Ooops... guess I'm a little slow on the uptake.  I've never shot Safaris.  Thought about getting some for my heavy bow arrow setup, but haven't yet.
