Four fletch since 1976.  75/105.

there is a good 4 fletch article from a few years ago. I personally have been shooting 4 fletch for 8 years and probably wont go back to three.  Alot of guys are also using goose feathers instead of turkey. haven't been able to source any Goose feathers yet. the water proof aspect of the goose feather intrigues me. they seem softer and last longer but i dont know how they fly.

I was planning on 4-fletch with low banana cut fetching. Any thoughts ?

Nothin but 4-fletch (4x90) for years now. What's been said plus I use 4" (shield-cut) feathers and I like that they easily clear the arrow rest on my Hill-style longbows. 5" & 5 1/2" feathers will often be resting with the front part of the fletch on the arrow rest, which I dislike. It can make a noise in a stand or blind, ruffles the feather, and it just don't look right.    :(

I've been shooting 3.5" feathers on my four fletch. I have a friend, Birdbow, who has 3" on his. He loves them. After the season I will burn some of mine down to 3" to see how they handle broad heads. Field points are no problem but I tend to be conservative with my hunting arrows. I have some 3 fletch arrows I shoot for practice and when I shoot them alongside the four fletch the fours group tighter even though they are shorter in length...the fletches, that is.
