If you use some type of grip on your bow to help you grip it, I would like to see some pictures of it.  While shooting here lately, I have been having a problem with my hand slipping a little after a few shots.  It doesn't really up my accuracy, but it does mess up my mind! lol.

Any one have any opinion or help for this problem?

it don't look great, but wrap the throat of your bow grip with a few wraps of surgical / bandage tape, or cloth hockey stick tape.  Not the whole handle, just the throat.

I too like a beavertail grip for a longbow, but have come to love a checkered grip on my recurve, as there is absolutely no slip and greatly improves my accuracy.

A thunder child I used to own with beavertail:

Schafer will checker any handle for around $140, and turns it around quickly.

Hard to beat the beaver tail grip for consistency. Always bought mine from Abe Penner.

You can see the large cross hatch pattern on the grip on my Blacktail...increased grip without being too sharp...I also had a Schafer longbow that Dave Windauer had checkered...very nice...another thing to consider is simply wearing a thin glove on your bow hand...I find a golf glove to work nicely

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Nothing wrong with a good cowhide grip wrap as well...the new Kodiak has drawn quite a bit of flack for using deer hide but I like it...just not as durable as this 54 year old cowhide

I like beavertail as well...actually I was just thinking this morning about getting my 1976 Kodiak done once it gets skinned...with skins, beavertail and seal skin it will be set up like my ACS CX was...cannot find the pic but while looking I found this one of my Schafer

Found the pic of my ACS CX...one of these days I suppose I should figure out what I actually like, eh

how does one go about getting a beaver tail grip?  That would be beautiful.

This was a friend's idea. This is the same material that goes on stair treds to keep them from getting slippery. It is adhesive backed and won't hurt the finish if you decide to take it off.
Just cut to your configuration. Cheap and effective

I wrap my recurves with a rawhide lace...........I posted pictures on another thread like this a few years ago. Cost 3 dollars and if you dont like it just remove it...........
Bowhunting is "KILL and EAT" not "Catch and Release".....Semper Fi!

I have used a  sure grip but heard of people using a bicycle tire inner tube cut to length.

I am having beavertail on the Featherhorn Abe is building me.  Have considered ordering beavertail to install on my current hunting bow.

Rubber bike tube.
Works awesome, no slip. Have it on every longbow I have.

grip shape and finger grooves can make your grip more repeatable = better shooting /groups
As we get older our bow weight goes down and our body weight goes up, One of Lifes little jokes.
