Well I'm still getting acquainted with my 58" Falcon; the bow fits great and shoots great... wondering if anyone has tried a different string and found it a little more quiet.
I've been trying a set of firs that are just a little over 10gpp; another set weigh in about 11.5 - these sound/feel a little better, but I still feel like I still haven't found the sweetest tune for this bow.
Any ideas?

An SBD with rubber silencers installed seems to have quieted my Elkheart down a bit from "stock."  Gregg recommended I get my strings from Pierre and I have zero complaints!  Best part is tune doesn't seem to be effected since both were 8 strand d10

Thanks Brad, I figured I'd hear from you! I know my 10 strand SBD made a big difference on my last bow, maybe I'll look at an 8 strand for the Falcon. It'd be nice to not have to re-tune much.
I put cat whiskers on the string with the bow, that helped a lot, would be nice to get it just a bit more quiet though.

Anyone tried a Rhino string on these bows?

Joe,
one of the first things I did when I received my new Elkheart from Gregg recently was have Allen at Lefties R Us build me a new Rhino string, 12 strands, custom colors, with a pair of rubber whiskers.  Gregg's stock 8 strand D10 is functional and works great but I had to have something fancier than plain black.  The new 12 strand Rhino shoots like a dream and with custom colors complements the woods on the bow perfectly.  With the Rhino material the 12 strand is only marginally larger than the 8 strand D10.

An SBD would also be a fine choice, but I have become attached to Allen because of his lightning fast service and incredible customer service/ customization efforts on my behalf.

PS:  Allen is more than willing to do a skinnier Rhino, say 8-10 strands but he's found 12 strand to be just as good and plenty skinny with Rhino.  I trust him so 12 is what all my bows get with that material and they flat out rock.

Well, got the two opinions I was hoping for. I guess I won't go wrong with either the SBD or Rhino, which is what I thought.

One more tuning session to double check my string length, and I'll order one of those up!

Thank you guys for your help, once again.
