I have just ordered the bow I have always wanted.. A Silvertip. I am struggling with limb wood and wanted to see if anyone here could post some pics of their bows. I really wanted to see if anyone has Treebark limbs. I have only seen a couple old pics of a Tip with Treebark covered limbs. Any pics would be great!

Do a 'Silvertip' thread title based search on Pow Wow and start browsing the threads I think you'll find some Treebark pics.  Also, PM or email 'MikeWalker' my pal who sold me the Carbon 'Tip, he has an original Paul-built 'Tip with Treebark limbs and can email you pics.  He just had it refinished actually.  I replied to your grip question on my thread as well.

Aaron

Sent you some pictures of some Schafers  to your email.  I love the looks of this one love the dark lines I couldn't find any with Treebark but I bet if you call Beth she might have a picture or two.

I have a 3pc Longbow due in about a mouth I hope I like it

My first tip had treebark limbs, don't remember where it ended upbut it was a nice looking bow.only one I ever saw like that..the green camo is very sharp

The treebark ones were/are sharp looking.  I have one with brown camo limbs.  It is a nice looking bow.  Shoots great too, like all Schafer's do.

Beth sent me some photos of treebark limbs a couple years ago. I was considering a build with treebark limbs and charcoal riser. I think they are really sharp. Have fun picking your out your bow.

I have always been attracted to the Woodland pattern (as Paul often had) but after inspecting them first hand, I'm not so sure I'd go that route anymore.  I do not want to discourage you but I wouldn't order it unless you've actually held some and have seen it first hand.

You know it is cloth under clear glass..essentially it is just clear glass from a reflection standpoint.  The camo can be seen under the glass...some limbs better than others, it really seems to vary depending on the quality of the clear glass.  You may be disappointed with "crazed" glass over Treebark as that looks really bad IMO.

I might get fragged for this but as I said, I am typically a fan of this effect but would only buy some already made, holding in my hand.

Good luck and hope you decide with confidence.

That is a good point. I actually talked to Beth about it today. I haven't made my mind up yet but still consideriting it. I think the grey look is sharp but having a camo limb takes away from the wood. Decisions Decisions..

I think whatever you decide on Aaron will be a great bow for you.
