What spine would you recommend for a CE Heritage shaft cut to about 30" give or take out of a liberty longbow 60@28 and drawn to 28".  I will be using 300 gr. up front to keep the arrow weight up

It depends on the center shot of the bow and whether you are going to want to cut the shafts to 29" or leave them longer.... a 250 might work with the 29" shaft. You may need a 300 spine for EFOC application with full length....

Great shafts btw... i hunted with the 250's cut to 30" with 250 up front 55@29"  Sas Lb for a couple years. total mass weight was around 568 grains. I was pushing about 190 fps with that set up.... kirk

250.

I use my 250 with my recurves set around 57#,my DL IS 29" and I cut my shafts at 29" to feel the BHs as a reference.
250 grains on point for me.so maybe you could need to cut the shaft another 1/4" for the 300 grains.
The 350 could be too heavy and too stiff and probably you'll need to cut it at 30". They are anyway both very though shafts.

250's

I shoot a 66" 60#@28" R/D drawn to 27.5  I shoot both the 250's and 350's.  With my bow, form, release, etc. the 250's worked great with the standard aluminum insert and 250 gr. point weight.  Total arrow wt. is 603 gr.

The 350's needed a 100 gr. brass insert and 250 gr point wt for a total wt of 720 grains.  FOC with this set up is near 23% and they fly great.

Both arrows are cut 29 3/8".  

I used the 350's last year on my moose hunt for the extra weight as well as the FOC.

I have since developed another arrow system with a Victory V Force HV 300, 100 gr. insert, 1" footing and 300 gr. point wt. for a total arrow weight of 645 gr. and and FOC of 31%.  They fly like lasers  

250.  I shoot 150's cut 27.5 with 270 up front out of a 58#@28 bow that is 1/8 past center and they fly good and straight and hit hard. For your setup, I would start with 250's and build out your side plate a tad if they show weak. You may also want to try Stu's calculator to see what numbers you get. I have found it to be pretty good for getting you close and then fine tune from there.  Good luck. Sounds like you have a great setup.

I can use 250's from my Wes Wallace R/D longbow cut fairly close to center. It is 55# @ 28. I cut them to 29in. I have 255grains up front. That same shaft is way to stiff for my 64# Hill Style bow.

250's. For extra weight I add weed eater line. if you use
.095 it will add about 50 grains per strand. This combination works well with standard weight inserts and 175gr broad heads.

Yep, your into a 250. I'm shooting 150's out of a NM classic 54@ 29 and I have them cut right down to 29.5" with 275 on the front, they are just hangin in there.
