I'm considering a new 66# thunderhorn longbow. Anybody have any experience with these bows? What do you think about them? I've currently got a black widow and a double bob, so comparisons to either would be great.

I have a three pice longbow - it is my most accurate bow I own.  I just shoot it well.
Everything has a price - the more we accept, the more the cost

Caribow Tuktu ET 53# @ 27 Inches
Thunderhorn takedown longbow 55# @ 27

You might want to double check with the bowyer.  I heard he was taking a break from building.

Most consistent bow (for me) I've ever had...

I am assuming you are inquiring about buying a used T-Horn?

In any case; they are very nice longows. The 1pc has more of a forward handle riser than the 3pc version. Both shoot outstanding. Duane appears to be a perfectionist based on looking at his quality of work. I've had two 1pc longbows and currently own two 3pc longbows.

I can't compare the T-Horn to the bows you already have, sorry. But if you buy the T-Horn your other bows will collect dust  :)

The bow I'm considering is a used bow, it's a one piece and very clean from what I can tell. I'm set up to go shooing and make a final decision in about a week. It all sounds good so far

I have 20 + bows and I shoot my Thunderhorn better than all others.

I have owned four of the three-piece and one Coup Stick. I agree with everyone above. They are one of the best looking and shooting bows I have ever shot! Good luck and enjoy!

Jim's bows are very forgiving, fast and user friendly. Highly recommended.

Is he done building?  Never owned one but only heard great reviews.

I think you are speaking of Thunderstick bows.  Thunderhorn bows are made by Duane Jessop in Montana.
