Eland are big.  It took a while for the gang to get there and there was no moving that animal for better photos. Hopefully this will illustrate the size better:

Always enjoy seeing your latest TT creation. But this is even better with the Africa report!
Congrats all the way around - hoping there are more details to follow!

Love it! I have a certain hybrid coming from Brian very soon. I can honestly say seeing the bow is awesome...seeing your beautiful animal better. However my friend, there was some pain there for me  :)  You know why...

Nice pics Steve.

I got to see this bow in person on the trip and it is a dandy.  Our PH is a longbow guy and he picked it up and was drilling the 3D target in camp right away.

The PH didn't really like it when Steve and I told him we were using single-bevel, two-blade heads.  He preferred a 3 or 4 blade.  Since we shot 3 animals with two-blades and the tracking dog never had to leave camp I'd say he's OK with it now!

Nice bow, and great animals! If you need someone to tag along on your next trip, I'm sure I can make myself available. Lol.
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.

As Mick mentioned, our PH shoots a stickbow (in addition to his .458 backup).  Between the 4 of us in camp, all we had were TallTines for him to shoot; 6 in all.  He took my Hybrid, one of Mick's arrows, and took his very FIRST shot from a solid 25 yards and sunk it right into the heart of the camp warthog target.  I was impressed!  What was more impressive was I never saw him waver 2" from perfection on any arrow he shot.

He told me to get in touch with Brian and have two Hybrids started, he would get his deposit in as soon as he was done in the bush.

The camp dog looks like his name would be Half-n-Half.

" Hunter " was either IN the fire pit or on someone's lap to keep warm whenever we were in camp.

I   almost feel bad all our shots were very deadly and we did not need Hunter's blood trailing services. He became a ferocious and lightning fast warrior when the PH grabbed one of the Kudu pickups in camp and scratched them on the ground. He was a snarling flash and on him before we knew what was happening.

Very nice. More stories please. Is that the mysterious Wensel dude in the background?

So let me get this straight... Hunter, the dog, grabs pickups in camp and scratches them on the ground???
