Thanks to a TGer, I'm soon going to be the proud owner of a new-to-me Taipan! Yay!

I just got the call from James.....my Taipan is up. .. settled on  Bubinga and wedge Apollos styled handle, bocote limb veneers under clear glass and of course bamboo core limbs.   57#,  64 Inches in length.

Dennis,
You have some good bows in your stable . Cherish them now, cause when you get the taipan they won't see much daylight  :)

Dave, sounds great, minus the boo lol

I've done red elm before - prefer the boo boards  :)   But then again my shotting skills are not all that great past 20 yards

LOL,

Brian. I can't wait to shoot it and if you're right, I will probably clean out one or two of my stables.  :big laugh: I've heard nothing but good things about James' bows! Mine is 66" 51#@28. It should be smooth.

Any more on Mr. Berry's bows?...........TTT
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I should be getting my Taipan next week - can hardly wait to run some arrows through her.  My all time favorite longbow is still my old Serpentine James made me decades ago - if it was just a tad bit lighter........

I'll post pics once I get her.
