What brace height is everyone running on their 68" 3pc. Stewart Slammers?

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

Start at 7 and move up to tune. BH depends on bow/arrow/form and is different setup to setup...............
Bowhunting is "KILL and EAT" not "Catch and Release".....Semper Fi!

John,
Thanks for the advice, I've tuned a few...LOL.

Just wondering where people are ending up at.  Are you at 7"

Thanks
Ken

I know the saying is 'do what works for YOU", but Jeez that's high.  Over 7.5 you're just killing performance IMHO, especially once you add a 10+ gpp arrow.  7-7.5 is from Leon himself.  The bow will shoot at 6.5 I have done it and its still quiet.  7 1/4 is pretty much perfect at 10gpp.  I'm not a proponent of extreme low brace heights but also can't believe the high numbers I hear guys throw around tuning high performance bows these days, its almost pointless to spend so much money on a fast bow and then neuter it so much.  If I have to raise BH too much to get a certain arrow to tune then its the wrong arrow.  Just my personal preference.

Around 7 1/4" on mine - measured from edge of shelf (as Leon recommends).

I did not know anyone measured brace any other way than from deepest part of grip to the string.
This has always been standardized to the best of my limited knowledge.
This becomes very important when different points of measurments are used to determine stability ect especially when comparing the performance and design of the bow one against the other.

God bless, Steve
