I went back to The Archery Shop today.  After shooting awhile, I took the full ength shaft to Budro and had him cut two inches off of it.  It is now 30.25" from the nock to the insert.  I had him measure the arrow he cut an inch off of last Saturday.  It is 31.25" long.  I shot both arrows for quite awhile, and the shorter arrow seems to be more consistent.

When I go to the shop this weekend, I'll have him cut the longer arrow to probably 29.5", shoot both arrows and see how they shoot.  When I get the proper anchor and remember to cant the bow, they are great shooting arrows.

I went back to The Archery Shop yesterday and I removed the 200 gr point and insert from the 31.25" arrow and cut it down to 29.5", glued the insert back in, let it cool, and then shot it and the 30.25" arrow.  The 29.5" arrow weighs 496.9 gr with the 200 gr point up front.  It shoots where I'm looking!

I've found the right length and will probably be settling at 29.5" for my Maxima Red arrows.  However, I have a new string coming and I'm going to wait until I put the new string on to make my final decision and cuts!  The Maxima Reds are great shooting arrows!

I went back to The Archery Shop today to shoot my bow again.  I removed the FP and the insert from the longest of the two Maxima Red arrows I've been shooting.  I cut the arrow to 29.25" and glued the FP and insert back into the arrow.

After several hours of shooting, I've determined I like the flight of the shorter arrow better.  When I go back Friday, I'll cut the 29.5" arrow to 29.0", shoot both arrows and see which one I prefer.  I'm getting very close to the optimal length, but I do want to try cutting off another 1/4" to see if I can get improved flight/accuracy.
