The Cari-bow Tuktu EX and Toelke SS "Super Static" are both outstanding.

The Cari-bow grip is more like a recurve 'pistol grip', the bow is blazing fast and dead in the hand.  The 60" model is only 55" strung.

The Toelke SS can be had with either a classic longbow grip or Toelke's "standard" thumbrest grip which is more of a low wrist, so very 'longbow' like also, but Dan can shape it how you want it.  Both bowyers are full service and will do what they can to make the bow perfect for you.

The Tuktu to me is one of the ultimate do it all recurves and the strung length is incredible.  Even the 62" model will only be 57" strung which makes this bow a super hunting weapon.  The draw feel is super smooth and with very early draw weight and then the smoothness kicks right where you need it.

The SS is incredibly smooth, I mean literally one of the smoothest bows you will ever lay hands on, though not quite as dead in the hand as the Tuktu/ has a bit of a light bump on the shot, but his is just because of it's more longbow like slender proportions.  This bow has the potential to be a 3D killer and a wonderfully stable bow at longer hunting distances.

I did pretty detailed reviews of both bows and even a comparo review of both, lots and lots of side by side pics.

Do a search here on Pow Wow for the threads, just search for Toelke SS and Tuktu, you'll find em.

Both bows I had were 1pc.  I tested and sold both because I plan on a 2pc in either.  For my purposes there's a good chance I will do a 2pc SS.  I have always been a 'longbow' guy and the SS for me is just the best of both worlds, but if all I had was a Tuktu for the rest of my life I certainly would be covered.  Both just winning designs.

I would also take a look at the Whippenstick Inferno in your search for a 2 PC recurve.

I already own 4 différent static recurve: 2 RER ( XR and the Vital),  a Border Archery black Douglas hex6 and the caribow tuktu.
The caribow is in the speed range of RER bows (but is a few fps behind the Border and a very few other " speed bows" )
Compared to the RER bows for same AMO BOW lenght the caribow offer a smoother feeling at the back end of the draw altough shorter when strung.
Plus It Is a very easy to shoot bow and completely dead in hand. Riser grip and shelf design is one of the very best you can find.. I wish i could own a Toelke SS as i  like very much toelke's bows, but the tuktu  is very close to be the " Perfect " hunting bow.
If Abe one day makes a G10 riser TD tuktu along with plain black glass over boo core ( a kind of tactical caribow     :scared:   )   That one could really win the "perfect  hunting bow" contest.
