Me and two of the F.R.O.G members went on a tactical frog Search and Recovery mission last night, and while going mud hole to mud hole and contending with a gator this was part of our results.

In all 13 were taken, the other 5 I don't have pic's of, hopefully Ole Possum Head will post up.  His sack had a couple of nice specimens also.

Nice outing. Tastes like chicken??

I grew up with a pond about 50 yards behind the house. I miss the sounds of the pond.

Doc Noc and Keith you have to go back to last years 2013 stories to get the history of F.R.O.G. The team consist of 3 original members and a fourth was added later in the year.

I could just tell you but its more fun to get you to read my stories       Here the links so you don't get to mad at me...

Frog Relocation Operation Group ... The way Ultimate Supreme Leader (John) & Scout (Kirk) shot last night were going to have to call them Sniper .....

Tommy,

The way the largest sack weighed I thought there were more frogs in it but the ones that were there were bigguns.

Here a pic of the end results.

Pascagoula Archer

Awesome !!!! If would have got everything we shot at we would have had about 20 I think ...

Possum Head

Why is it that water is always i/2" deeper than my boots are tall? Great trip for unfamiliar territory.

Come on, tell us about the Gator.
I'd be more afraid of the Gators I did not see....
And how do you prepare your Frog legs.

Mike,

The story line on the Gator was that as we were in new waters, and the frogs were hanging out in the flooded grass with a couple of gators near by.

I could see the eyes of at least one and it was probably a 5 footer but hard to tell, still I was in his house and robbing his refrigerator     :scared:

One of the main reason my pards submitted to me being the Ultimate Supreme Leader of the F.R.O.G team is I have the best Light.

So with my Light I was wading in the 17" of water and kept telling the buds "You watch the Gator I'll locate the Frogs".

This was going good until....Possum Head stepped on a frog and it shot through the water into the side of my boot. I let out one of those Jerry Clower aAAHHHHhh and said where's that Gator!

I can handle snake somewhat but the thought of a mama gator coming off a high bank at near midnight is downright scary.

Johnny,

Your more than welcome to come with us, PM me sometimes to work it out.

Mike,

Also I did several "How To's" last year on how to make a frog gig point, how to clean them, and how to cook and eat them.  Here's the links

You've been generous with your time and sharing talent...!

You guys got the best nicknames going! Possum head--- good lordy!

I don't be thinking I'd want to be that close to a stinkin Gator in 17" of water... I don't move that good anymore!

Your nickname would fit right in with us Southern boys and you could be an honorary member of the F.R.O.G team.  We'd make you the dedicated scribe     :readit:

South MS, would you mind telling us what conditions, times of night, etc that you are going? I tried down here last night in a little pond in the woods but we couldn't get on them. Ive been seeing some huge ones during the day while looking for snakes. we got one during the day that was big.
