They looked real big for ticks to me also, but the pic pixelates when blown up, cheap camera!

Haven't heard any locust yet Ryan, but reports from other areas that say so...
Stay sharp, Kenny.

From the gravel road between leases, he could be on either one in 2 minutes or less!!  :bigsmyl:

I'm not real good at judging but I'll bet he's at least a forky by October.   ;)

We know for sure when I bring him into camp.

A THIRD??? Who's this third guy you guys are thinking of?    :D
Heck, I'll just message the GPS numbers to ya and go wait at the cabin. I've been at this so long I don't have to be in on the recovery.   ;)

I bet Curt and I can cut the antlers off enough to lighten  him up to pack him out!

That's pretty cool! Didn't know you could copy and paste that! Or however you did it!

Just above the top of the marker would be exactly where he was.

They bulldozed a farm machinery crossing at the top right corner of the red box and the deer are using it as an interstate, we'll call it I-45!   :D

Charlie Lamb

That was the location of the bobcat stand right? Where I-45 is now.
Hunt Sharp

Charlie

kennym

Yes, where Randy took the coyote, but the new stand will be facing maybe NW and moved near the crossing, maybe 10 yds West. There was 2-3 trails thru there, and I'm hoping the open crossing will be the lazy way for em to go thru.....

That's the exact same spot Steve and I saw "Jumbo" last October. Out in the back of the first bean field past the bridge.

There was a big buck seen several times crossing the north farm about where that same fenceline hits it up there, not far from the hickory tree out in the beans.....

Now Charlie, these aren't Texas deer, they never duck!   :D

I think pic 3 and pic 5 in that series may be different deer, but closely related.

Looks like 5's brows tilt in more than 3's ??

Could be the angle too.....

Kenny, all these pics make me want to rethink about dealing with them dreaded chiggers. Steve and I thought long and hard, early and get first crack at them tremendous bucks and scratch for the next two months or go later. After our scouting trip last January it was pretty apparent a lot of the big boys make it through gun season. Will be looking for one of these guys the end of November itch free!
