Great Job Darcy!

What knife of yours did you skin him with?
Everything I have and have become is due to the Lord and his great mercy.

Nothing wrong with can hunting, but spot and stalk makes for a true Bear hunt in my opinion. Great hunt, great animal, and a great bow. All compiled by a great hunter......big congratulations and thanks for sharing your hunt and the plug for snag and the lethality of a wooden arrow. High fives Darcy

Thanks guys.
I used this beast to field dress and skin him. I have found that I can do most things with a well designed big knife that I can with a smaller one, but also do the heavy lifting that a small knife can't do.
This is pretty much my go to size and shape for an all purpose, backcountry blade after many years of trying different shapes and sizes. right around 9 inches of blade, thin enough edge to slice with ease. Heavy and long enough to chop well. Works for me.
