Sweet longbow.

I would order one in a heartbeat if they came in a 2pc

James said a 64" would work with my 29.5" draw but I opted for the 66" for a little more smoothness and stability. The extra 1" on each end is minor.

Thanks Joe, credit to James for design and build. Yes a 2 piece would be real nice.

There is a company here in Alaska that does two piece locket socket conversions to one piece bows using the graphite woven material.   I believe he worked for Jack Harrison or possibly Fisk longbows.  He explained to me that a reverse handle bow by design isn't conducive to becoming a two piece and he won't convert them.

Don't know much about that myself, but I once entertained having mine converted, but have since just accepted the lethality of my one piece and moved on...There are probably few places in North America where a two piece would be more handy than here, but you can get by with a one piece.

BigJim also does a conversion on bows that has had pretty good reviews for being tight and solid as well.  He has a few videos showing the process....in case you would like to do it yourself rather than pay him to do it.

That bow could have easily been done in a two piece design when built, but if you don't want to ruin a great bow, don't try converting it in to a two piece now. No riser reinforcement that is necessary for a two piece.

Thanks Roger and everyone else, James did good.

Big Jim, thanks for the sage advice, I watched the build along video on the take-down and enjoyed it very much. Those were some stout bows.
