New bow, New arrow???

My Sasquatch is on the way. I am shooting an uncut GT 55/75 with a 250 gr head and 50 gr brass insert out of my Bushbow, 55 @ 32". My arrows seem to be fine last fall, shooting 3- under. After ordering new bow, I switched to split finger. I figured it was more universal and a lot quieter in my Bushbow. With proper back tension and breath control they are hitting tail left now. The Sasquatch is 55@31" and apparently a thumper. I wouldn't mind dropping the brass insert but I would hate to give up the 250 gr VPA BH. Should I cut a few arrows down prior to delivery. Grab some 75/95 GT s , or just be patient and wait for bow???! Sorry this was a bit long winded. Thanks guys

Why cut before trying them? I say shoot; cut; repeat as necessary.

I agree with the shoot first. The new bow will probably require a considerably stiffer arrow but differences in sight window cut out (center cut) ect will probably vary too.
Good luck and show that new bow off when you get it.

According to Gold Tips website, 7595's are .340 spine! Although, after my experiences with 5575's, I would be willing to bet they are actually a bit stiffer than the advertised .340!

Since we're in a similar zone I'll post my results even though I don't shoot GTs.

My Sas is very spine tolerant and I've shot carbon/aluminum/and wood out of it. 63@31 so it's just a bit heavier than yours.

The best arrow I came up with was a CE Heritage 250 with a 75gr insert, and a 225 TuffHead. That effectively gives us the same tip weight. According to CE's website the 250 spines at .391.

I originally thought I'd be able to go with a CE 350 with the same weight setup. It shot pretty well, but the 250s were always a little bit tighter. The Heritage 350s spine at .324.

Given you will be at 55#, I'd wait for the bow to show up and try the 5575s full length. If they are too weak, how much could you shorten them? You're a long draw guy so there might not be much there to work with.

I'd send you some CE 250s to try out, but I just put them on the St Judes auction a few days ago.

I have only ever shot GT arrows because of their length. I had bought some other arrows from 3-Rivers when I shot my Hill bow but they were too short. I can take a little off these 55/75's and like I said I could lose the brass insert. I am really anxious to get it. Arrival date is Monday. Thanks Guys

The GT Trad 75/95 is a 300 spine arrow...some other GT arrows labelled 75/95 are 340 spine to add to the confusion

Yep, be patient grasshopper, Sasquatch is a great hybrid bow.

my guess is you will need the 75/95 to keep your current point weight.

Do you and Kirk discuss amount of center shot?

And pics are mandatory when she arrives.

We discussed it little. I think it is cut close to center. That sounds pretty generic, but we didn't discuss exact measurements. He thought I might need a 75/95 if I kept the same tip weight. There are some pictures posted of my bow on an earlier thread I will bring to the top.

I was supposed to golf today but I am heading straight home after work. I can't wait to shoot that bow. I have never had a bow built for me, nor a shotgun, rifle, good suit etc. Looking forward to it.
