Any thoughts or suggestions on them would be appreciated. Are they any harder to be accurate with then a standard recurve or longbow?

I think they are the best of both worlds. Light like a longbow with recurve performance. I've tried most and still think the Toelke Chinook is the best.

That's all I shoot. I have a Northern Mist Ottawa and a Wild Horse Creek Mariah, both amazing bows. Besides having the Classic lines most of us picture when thinking of a traditional bow they are real performers and a dream to carry.
Personally, I don't notice any difference in being accurate between 50's style recurves and bigger riser recurves.
I've owned a couple Kohannah Kurves, too. Excellent bows.

The real deals are great.  I put a 1957 Bear Kodiak 64" 48# beauty in the St. Jude's auction complete with all the trimmings and hope it fetches a good price for the kids.  I've got a 1955, 1958 and 1959 Kodiak as well. The 1958 is an incredible shooter and needed no restoration. I picked it up for $120 off the big auction site. It's a factory camo version with some of the camo wearing off, but still ready to hit the woods. Arrows are Sitka Spruce tapered from Hildebrand.

I love my Toelke 64 Super Static.

Recently got a Black Widow PSR X that I'm real fond of. Same grip as their longbow and shoots great. Taking it to Quebec in a few weeks for spring bear.

I've had the PSR, the Chinook, the Kohanna, the LW Banchee, and the Super Ghost.  They're all great shooters. I've also had a 58 Grizzly. They were all great shooters.

No doubt that the real 50's and 60's bows are great.
I used a 1960? Bear Polar in a bow pass around that shot as good anything.

I've got two, one is the Fox "Breed" built by Ron King of Fox archery. It's a fantastic bow quiet, fast, shoots where I look. My other is by a bowyer most will probably know of Tim Meigs, it's a replica compas Kodiak, dual shelf, & pretty fast & quiet. I like them.

I bought a 52# Peregrine and really loved the bow but had to sell it as it was just too much for me after a very long absence from traditional.
Ironically, I know where there is a take-down, hinged handle Peregrine laying on a rack.  60" and 53#.  Bought new and only shot for about 50 arrows.

Thanks for all the replies. I was worried about their accuracy just because most recurves built today have the mass in the risers. I have no problem with accuracy shooting a longbow that weighs next to nothing but thought that it would be good to hear some opinions from guys that shoot these recurves. I think that there will be one in my near future.
