Memorial weekend we will decide on a name. I can't wait to go. We will also decide on price of rooms and how many per room. Things for us to consider is cost to heat during the hunting season vs don't need as much in the summer. (for example)

Keefer

"Critter Getters"
"Critter Hideaway"
"Caveman Paradise"
"The Shack Out Back"
"The Out House"
"Tree Huggers"

When I have a place to call my own, it will be named:

Elysium

In Homer's Odyssey, Elysium is described as a paradise: to the Elysian plain...where life is easiest for men. No snow is there, nor heavy storm, nor ever rain, but ever does Ocean send up blasts of the shrill-blowing West Wind that they may give cooling to men.

I also like this quote taken from Gladiator:

Maximus: Three weeks from now, I will be harvesting my crops. Imagine where you will be, and it will be so. Hold the line! Stay with me! If you find yourself alone, riding in the green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled. For you are in Elysium, and you're already dead!

[Cavalry laughs]

Maximus: Brothers, what we do in life...echoes in eternity.

Good luck with the naming, hope it's an easy choice.

Sam McMichael

A friend of mine named his place Hopeuluk. He said that when he first bought the property a tenant had a young son who was wishing him success in an upcoming deer hunt. He said, "Hope you luck".

I will be up there in 4 days and we will decide on a name. You guys did a great job actually too good. Collectivly we will settle on one. I think it will come down to a few and we will draw it out of a hat. No were not going to name it "draw it out of a hat hunting lodge". We are going to use a lot of these names for hunting spots. Thanks again for all the response.

Big tines
Tall tines
Drop tines
Long fork
G5
Long rut
Whitetail
Piebald
Stick
Recurve

Just add ranch, prairie, mountain, lake or something after these to describe your geographical area

I think Chuck may have just inadvertently named it for you-Luck of the Draw Lodge. It's got luck and draw, as a play on words for drawing a bow. Plus, it seems where deer camps often work better when you draw names for who will hunt where on any given day, because over time, some guys get really possessive about "their spot". You'll get more enjoyment by always moving around.

Hey Rat.  You gonna be at Barryton?

For a name, how about" Bent Pole Lodge". Not very original, though.

We decided to go with "Full Draw Lodge". It was a tough choice, lots of cool names posted here. We didn't want any names that might bring thoughts of the movie friday the 13th such as assasination station, gut pile, etc as this might not appeal to your wife that wants to tag along. Some of the names listed insinuate that there might be trophy bucks all over but that would be a let down. Also didn't want to give it a name that implies that it is only for trad hunters as some trad hunters may want to go up there with a friend who uses a compound or maybe your a new trad archer that hasn't made the complete switch. So if you want to go to a place that has lots of deer, rabbits, grouse, etc "Full Draw Lodge" is a great place. It is also a great place to go for elk viewing, Ocqeoc falls, nearby fishing, snowmobiling (one of the major trails crosses the end of the drive way), mushrooming, the haunted Presque Isle light house, Mackinac bridge, or just relaxing.
