I'm pretty sure I saw your bow there when I picked mine up.

I didn't look too close at anything else out there, I was way too excited to get mine in my hands.

I'm the guy that's bought and sold orphaned Silvertips that turn up around here over the years.  The Silvertip I just picked up is the first bow that I ever ordered.  I'll hunt and abuse mine until I croak, and then my nephew will get it.

I should have you pick out some snake skins for my 2nd set of limbs for my new 'tip when I get around to them.  Then we'll be even  ;)

Keith Zimmerman

Sounds like I deal.  You're not the first person I picked skins out for a bow:)

Dan Adair

As soon as Break-Up is over and I'm working some OT (or I go to work for the BNSF) I'll be putting in an order for limbs.

I like 60# for killin' stuff, and 51-52 for archery stuff.

The 2nd set will prolly be black glass so I can milk every FPS I can out of it.  Oh, and of course antelope tips again.

In Montana, we call antelope "fast food"   :D   Using them for tips adds 5FPS

Keith Zimmerman

Same here.  Thats why I ordered 50# and 57# limbs.  Target and hunting.  Black glass...hmmm....tough to beat Diamondback skins for that.

Dan Adair

I like the way you think...

And that's whats on my other 'Tip for hunting limbs.

Wow, she is a beauty! Nice pics.  Been thinking about getting a Silvertip.  Thanks for showing the pics.   :clapper:

OH, I do like that one! I wish more bowyers would build 1 piece of wood risers like that. Most want multi-woods and racing stripes. The earthy natural look of a fine piece of lumber as a riser gives a bow a more traditional look for me.

Enjoy and if you ever decide to part w/ it??? Please let me know.

I looked through the Schafer website and they are beautiful bows. It does not list the prices. What is the price range on a Silver Tip?

They have an price list you can go through on the product line portion of the website. It lists most of the price options.
