Storing wool clothing

Just wondering how everyone stores their wool hunting cloths after the season is over? Thanks in advance

I let mine sit out on a sunny, warm, dry and breezy day, then fold and store in a big dry bag like the ones they use on canoes. Throw in a few pine needles and they will come out smelling piney when you get them out in the Fall.

I like the vacuum pack bags.  No worries about bugs or moisture with those.

I just throw them in a plastic bin in my garage attic for the offseason. I do this with all my hunting clothing. 1 bin for wool pants, 1 bin for wool tops, 1 bin for thermals, 1 bin for light weight pants, 1 bin for light weight shirts, and 1 bin for socks, gloves, hats, rain gear. simple organized and easy.

I store all my wool in a full sized cedar chest,no worry about moth's.

Big, open closet in my (dry) cellar.  I sprinkle cedar and rosemary needles around for non-chemical moth repellant.

I got hit once by moths and they did a number on a few sweaters.

I store all wool in a cedar chest.  It's generally on the cold side here 8 months out of year so I want easy access.

Ok, not real cold but cold enough for a wool layer...

Out here with fewer bugs, i hang them in the sun, thump em with a stick to remove dust, anf then pack them in a 55 gallon drum with all mt gear.  It is then sealed until next year.  I have lots of wool as our temp ranges 40 degrees and wool is good at 20 to 70!

Thanks for the replies! I settled on a rubber made container and I'm storing it in my basement. Never thought of a cedar chest.

You can use the cedar chips sold as small animal bedding. I use my wife's old stockings/pantyhose and fill the foot/leg sections with the chips, tie off, and drop in my plastic storage bins. Cheap and easy.

I put mine in a in a water proof sealed tote from walmart hunting section. I put in some of those ceder balls and some pine needles.
