Chuck, looking 4ward to your review of the double carbon. I am like a caged critter waiting to order a tip, but will wait til your review. Can you tell me how much of a premium is it roughly? Also if you get double carbon, do you end up with black limbs? I would miss the beauty of wood veneers.

Mike told me the double carbon cost him an extra $250.  I am not sure if it limits you to black glass-- to know for sure you'd have to email Dave or Beth.

Didn't know that Dave was doing double carbon. (Keith Z - are you holding out on me  :) ). Looking forward to the write up, hopefully before your trip, hint, hint!!

I talked to Beth about the Carbon option.  She said Dave doesnt do it much.  You would have to talk to Dave about it.  So, not really holding out, just not enough info on it until I talk to Dave.

Kris

I have owned two but currently own none, I'm sure that'll change someday again.  Dave & Beth are beautiful people..."salt of the earth".

I shot my highest 3D score with my first tip 62" (17" riser) 57#@28.  I could bare shaft MFX 400's perfect out to 30 yards with that bow.

Nothing so hi tech about a Tip, I just think when you're in love with a bow, you want to shoot it well...so you do!

I no longer have mine......waited a long time to get one and when I did I had Dave make a set of limbs to my specs. It was nice, great grip, very good looking and I shot my best round with it at the Muzzy stump shoot. BUT.......I just did not feel the love......so I sold it and moved on.
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I have never shot one, are they really that much better than the high quality bows out there. Not being negative I would really like to know  if they are so special, they sure look pretty.
You have to try one to believe. I don't think they'll make a great shooter out of a poor shot or any other miracles but they do make it all a little easier  for folks who shoot alright to begin with. And they've got looks that kill.

I just ordered my first Tip yesterday. Cant wait!

I have had a major problem with these vermin on my property, My  lawn has hundreds of holes and they infest my stonewalls and foundation.  Exterminators have proved to be useless(my wifes approach).  The only way to control them has been with my  pellet rifle.........until I got my Silvertip. This guy was sitting on my stone wall at over 20 paces.  Not sure about what makes it do it but........

Izzy

Nice looking bow lbshooter. My new to me Tip is shooting boastful groups and is rather quiet with a 7 1/2" brace and wool puffs.

Thanks. I am also at 7 1/2 brace height  and use the rubber spider silencers.  I also switched to a B50 string from FF a while back and. found my groups tightened up measurably. Not sure why.  I really like this bow.  Good luck with yours!!!!

Izzy, Maxwell, muzzy75 &nineworlds9,
I hope you guys are happy, after reading all the posts on the TIPS, I had to have one, so talked to Beth and Dave today and have one on order and its all your fault... shame on you all.

groyce

Best people you'll ever meet and a talented craftsmen. I have 3 of Dave's longbows, 2 takedowns and a one piece..Love them all.. I'd have a recurve as well, I'm just a longbow guy and as far as I can tell they shoot just as well as the curves.
