Didn't get to hunt last fall. Bummer. So look what I have on my front lawn every day now.
Are they making fun of me?

Yes.
Several years ago I did not receive a doe tag.
So of course a doe walks right up my access trail that I just walked on, and lays down 15 feet from the base of my tree.
I figured what better bait?   But at the time to come down, she was still there.
And wouldn't leave. I have a video of me yelling at her, throwing my REDMAN and folding hunting knife at her, and pleading with her out loud to leave. I finally just climbed down and she casually walked away.
When I got to the main trail leading out, I'm pretty sure I heard them all chuckling at me, and I KNOW one yelled "loser".
Notice in the picture they won't even acknowledge your presence and look the other way.
Yup, you are getting laughed at.

I got screwed out of hunting last year too.
Everything has been laughing at me for years!

And whether you believe it or not, the Universe is laughing behind your back. "

And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Yes and so are the Turkeys!   Hunt on Saturday and don't see a Gobbler.  Sunday they will strut in the yard in front of the bales.  How do they know??

I promised my wife that I wouldn't shoot any of our "pet" deer and turkey on our 10 acres.  We have deer amble through the yard on a regular basis, they just look up when the dogs bark, and go back to grazing. One follows me around while I stump shoot.  Last year we had 2 dozen turkey-on 2 different occasions-wander through the yard, some less than 50 feet from the front door.  One couldn't figure how to get back over the fence, so I walked behind him until he felt trapped, and flew off.  Never saw a turkey on my hunting property.  Yep they know!!!

I'd have to say they're not only making fun of you, but they're starting a club !

You are mistaken. Instead they are paying you homage and actually need you to come and stalk them. And they will visit you until you do. How do I know? Because they come to my yard too and even show off the young of the year when they are able to walk. They need us as much as we need them.

I'll be looking out for them this fall. I took names! Chances are they will not be out in the open.

Pretty soon we'll be seeing those youngsters, won't we.

I think they are and let them laugh....ll I'll put money on who will be laughing this fall  ;)  Haven't gotten to hunt the last two seasons but that is about to change  :)
